Hey, i am kind of new to mountain biking and was looking for a ds bike under 700,

I was also looking at a stock 03 trek liquid... for about 900, would this be a better bike for the money?
Is this a good deal? or think i can find something better for the price? if so please let me know what/where is possible thank you
