  1. ... just a note to let the regulars and newbies alike that
"macelroy" is a rather malicious troll from years ago. He
seems to have made a return of sorts; who knows how long.

I figured I'd post this right away to minimize and
anger/confusion this troll may cause. Please don't get
sucked into his posts, or feel like you have to comment back
in anger to what he says.

For those interested, do a google groups to see his
    dubious history.

    cheers,

  2. Thanks for the heads up Dave, but we're grown ups here, and
when we need someone to monitor posts for content, we'll let
you know. Until then, go back to ironing your jogging
    costumes. Anger and confusion, indeed...

Maybe, but............don't you find it a bit
    interesting....

Roger *announces* his departure because Sam and I, along
with Donovan and some others, won't argue about some inane
    post of his.

Just 4 days later macelroy returns (and not with the prior
    email address). Uh huh.

So the next time Roger gets bored, can we expect Abhay to
    rise from his grave?

I won't be convinced unless we see the return of the
real macelroy's uh...well, I think he called it
    "training advice."

Yes, I thought of this. It would certainly make sense -
Roger's constant changing of usernames and occasionally
personalities as well certainly make it plausible. I wonder
about the serious possiblity of actual mental illness; i.e.
multiple personality disorder combined with marked
antisocial behaviour. The two are often linked (along with
depression); there is loads of research to back that up.

... so yes, it is rather interesting.

  5. Dear Ann Thrope and others,

Please disregard those people in this forum who try to
discredit everyone who has a different view than theirs
like David (in Hamilton ON). Many of the people in this
forum give advice to you obtained from their inferior
jogging or from writers who think they know something
about running and don't know the first thing about it.
When they read something that I might post from years of
experience which doesn't fit the mold of what they think,
they feel completely threatened and then call me a troll
    or something or other.

I have participated in races and coached track for almost
40 years now on a very elite level. I can tell you from
experience not from self-designated writing gurus or
beginning joggers what running is all about. On top of
that, I don't expect anyone to do anything in a workout
that I can't do either. It's as simple as that. You can
listen to these idiots here who run 3 days per week and
tell you that is all you need to do or you can listen to
someone who has lived and breathed track all his life.

I don't need to bother wasting my time here with what I
feel are a bunch of incompetants but sometimes I just
can't take it any more and must come here and put my
    foot down.

Wow! You must be Superman! Whilst having coached for almost
40 years you can keep up your young protégés. You must be
what, nearly sixty years old? Simply amazing!

Please enlighten me as to how I might perform like a twenty-
nine year old distance runner when I'm fifty-nine.

It won't work this time, macelroy. People are more wise to
trolling around here. The only reason I posted a warning
at all is because your style is malicious - you don't just
spout profanities and sophmoric idiocy like other, obvious
trolls. You have a history of hundreds of misinformed
posts that "might" be taken seriously by some, which is
the real danger, and of course you know this, it is your

posts. Also, the new readers can get a sense of who you are.

Don't bother disputing them, I can post all headers as well
if needed, and probably find another 20 gems to post while

    Enjoy:

    from rec.running:

Boy do I suck [censored]. I suck the biggest you have ever seen.
But let us put that aside for a minute. As you all know I am
your resident troll. Yes indeed. It is my duty to avert
attention to myself because it makes me aroused.

    from rec.sport.boxing:

On top of this poster's attitude problem I just wanted to
mention that a hell of a lot of young girls today are
dressing up in such a way as to look much older than they
really are. Then they go around telling the older guys that
they are 18 or 19 years older when they are actually only
    15. It's not an exaggeration. It's a fact. So the guy's
think they are old enough and do them and later it
turns out that they were not 19 at all and they get
charged with statutory rape. It's all complete and
utter [censored]. In a majority of the world other than
the United States, when you are 13 years old you are
old enough to do it and that is the way it was for
thousands of years. Even in this country, there are
certain states that allow marriages upon approval of
the parents for 13 year old girls. On top of that, it
is a well know fact that athletes produce significantly
higher levels of testarone and sperm than the average
couch patoto. So it is very understandable when you
have star athletes with uncontrolable drive like Wilt
Chamberline who claims he did thousands of women.

    from rec.running:

Everything I do in my life is done with FORCE. If you are
too slow and get in my way, I'll run you over like a Mac
Truck. I do not tolerate slow running. So either you get
with it or you are going to go down.

    another rec.running post:

Look at the initial post of Lorne Sundby. He wanted to know
if what he was doing was right or wrong. What good would it
be if you just support him and tell him like an bumbbling
idiot Yes, anything you do is fine. That is [censored]. I
think that deep down inside, he himself knows that he isn't
going to get as much from his program unless he varies it.
And like I told him and all the other miserable slow joggers
    like you in this group,

    another rec.running post:

No this group is far from military standards, it's more like
a bunch of lazy, good for nothing, undisciplined snail-
moving plodders who all could benefit from serious
disciplined military training as soon as possible.

a post of yours from sci.med:

I had some scar tissue in my chest that I picked up as a kid
in a terrible and brutal fight where the assailant grabbed
my chest in a vice like grip and yanked it. I actually felt
the tear and the result was permanent thick scar tissue. A
few years ago I picked up the back of a hammer and carefully
pounded on the scar tisue and it might be my imagination but
I think I might have broken it up because it seems soft now
compared to the hard knob I had. I am experimenting with
this now on my plantar fascia scar tissue -- taking the back
of a hammer and carefully pounding around the heel in the
area where I sense there may be some remaining scar tissue.

a post of yours from alt.circumcision:

I was not circumcized at birth but was forced to do so at 11
years of age by my overbearing and domineering father even
though I bitterly protested. I I have felt deeply depressed
about it ever since and I am seriously considering some kind
of operation of restoral to the way I was if I can afford to
do so. Shall I ever have children, there will be no force in
the Universe, not even the threat of death that will
convince me to give my children circumcision.

a post of yours from alt.disney.disneyworld:

My wife and I have two kids ages 10 and 13 and we do not
feel comfortable with someone like Symmers who could be
    lurking in our neighborhood,

a post of yours from alt.support.impotence:

I don't know if I have what you do and I would never even
talk about this normally but I get sick and tired of reading
about pre-ejaculation problems when there are people who
can't even at all. It is difficult and almost impossible for
me to do so and most of the time I don't

was 21 before I even managed to for the first time. Women
tell me that might be good because they won't get pregnant.
But I wish there was more literature on that. In any case,
it's never been a part of my life

because arousal is not my problem since arousal will last
for hours with me nonstop but nothing ever comes of it.

a post of yours from soc.singles:

Subject: Man Seeks Woman I don't get out and meet many
people and have always been on the shy side but I would
still like to have a relationship with a woman some day. I
live in San Francisco and am a white caucasion male.

You're a real class act, macelroy.

    cheers,

you that some [censored] hacked into my email and then
    began posting as me.

So you aren't the one that posted this:

Do not be fooled by my [censored] anymore. I am will now
exit rec.running FOREVER. I will rid you of this cancer
that is I. There is nothing more I can do or say to heal
the harm that I have done.

...I am truly a [censored]...and I will most live the rest of
    my life that way...
