  1. Been waiting a while for these tires to be available. They
    are 26 x 2.3 size mountain-bike tires made for on-road
(urban assault). They should be fine in the light duty
    trails/paths around me too.

I road around about an hour seeing how well they hook-up.
So far no slippage on concrete sidewalks, street, my
asphalt driveway. Tried sharp leaning turns in grass,
trying to get them to slip, they held fine. Wheelies are
easier and longer than with the Kinetics (knobbies) I had.
Next Im going to take on the 2 foot drop at the post-office
    parking lot.

One thing I noticed right away was the rather thin
sidewalls on them. I think it would not take much to
puncture them thats why I mention the light trails/paths.

One other "issue" I noticed was that they didnt seem as fat
as I thought they would be. So I got out my digital
calipers and checked. My eyes were right the tires measured
at 2.129" w/65psi in them. They are rated for 30-80psi so I
dont think they are going to get any wider.

With only an hour ride time so far cant really say go get
them they are the best. But if you have been interested in
them they are available now so check them out.

    I rode on some while test-riding a Giant STP2 a couple of
days ago. Very nice tires, from what I could gather. I will
have to wait till friday to try them again, that is when my
new bike should arrive! I had to order the STP1. www-www-

Ooh, where can I get these tyres? I'm having a bit of
problem with wheelies and small drops - these sound like the
    perfect solution.

Yep they increased my drop confidence 400%. No longer afraid
of the 6" curb. We all know the longer wheelie a person can
do the better rider that person is. ;-)

especially since we all know that the wheelie is the hardest
trick in the book. Been trying since i was a kid and still
    don't have it mastered.

Wait until you progress to manuals...

I'll work on that once i get my krads🙂 I just found a nice
long grassy downhill to practice the manuals on, I think
I'll fill my camelpack up with charmen and spend a few hours
    working on it.

    On what rim?

Try it on a Surly Large Marge (65mm width).
