  1. I'm about to come up on my first special event while on
    the program.

My boyfriend and I are going to go on a 3 day holiday next
week and one of the things we're looking forward to is
having dinner at the fancy schmancy restaurant one night at
the resort we're going to be staying at. I'm not too
concerned about most of the vacation, I can keep an eye on
the points and allow myself a bit of leeway. But for that
one dinner, it's a really special event for us, I'm pretty
sure I'm going to get my ring and formal proposal, and the
last thing I want to be thinking about is "how many points
is this wonderful meal costing me?".

It's not that I want to gorge myself or anything. I simply
don't want to have to think about my food for one evening.

How do I reconcile the need to relax with the guilt of not
being a good girl for a day?

  2. Relax! One meal is not going to make or break your program.
Eat whatever you want and enjoy! You can get back on program
    the next day.

Easy. It's a special day. You can have two every year. This
is one of them. You'll probably gain a pound or so but who
cares. Just eat and drink what you want. Be careful though
that after the holiday you get back OP.

Hope it all works out as you hope

  4. For such a special occasion, just relax and enjoy yourself.
However, if you've been doing the program for a while you
might surprise yourself and automatically make good choices
in your meals. If you do, that's an automatic NSV.

Have a good time. We'll be waiting to hear how your holiday
goes. Hope everything turns out the way you wish.

Give yourself an official Day Off, don't count the points,
stay on program the rest of the week, and look for a
maintain rather than a loss. Then if you DO lose, it's an
    added bonus! 🙂
