you're trying to work out why posting to alt.* is working
and uk.* isn't, for example.

I don't think any of the definitions of spam, UCE or UBE
could legitimately be applied to cover two test postings to
one newsgroup.

I suppose he could be trolling, but unless it were to a
group that was notably intolerant of people with new
software, it would be a pretty subtle attempt. I derive
some amusement from the fact the fact that the two
messages together have actually been a pretty good troll,
as it happens.

Now I know about these groups, I just might use them.
Anyway, why so angry at such a trivial posting, I do
make cycling related posts fairly often, so it was the
obvious choice.

No spamming, which is "£$5**!! annoying, was intended,
apologies to anyone offended.

Now then, clocks forward next Sunday, so evening rides
should start again, at last.

Because if everyone sent test messages the group would
be awash with them. uk.test is there for a reason. They
even send you a nice email to tell you that your post
got through.
