Another Freehub Question

The 105 hub by the way is part #FH-1055. I also see that
Harris Cyclery sells this hub so that is another option I
suppose but that seems like a more expensive version of c).

However, if you aren't into that, c) sounds like a very reasonable choice.

d) sounds like you are getting ready to ride on the track or want to do that fun stealth mode that Hugi and Chris King hub riders need to practice.

Take it off, flush it and then lube it with Mobil One..That
may fix it. Otheriwse replace it.

I replaced a 105 7 speed freehub with a shimano HG70 one I
think it was. Relatively cheap (<15 GBP)and very easy.To me
it appears to be the easiest of your options.

Provided you have a 10mm allen key (I do). They're BIG.

I have allen key fittings for my 3/8 drive socket set, my
set includes a 10mm one. The proper tools make most jobs
easier. A 10mm allen key is not hard to source, for the time
is takes to do the change one could probably persuade a
friendly local garage to loan you the tool and do the job in
their workshop.

Replace the freehub its easy.
