  1. I've been looking at the 303's to be used for crits, road racing, time trials and hill climbs. Anyone out there had a set? How did they hold up? What were they like to ride?

    Thanks,

    Norm

  2. I can only tell you that I heard they are not good for rider > 70/75kg. But Zipp has a special 303 model, for heavy riders. I think that model has more spokes.

I have Bora G3's and I can tell you they are really great. The weight of 1320g. is really not a lie. They are super stiff, look very good and are very aerodynamic. They are about the same prize.

Ans a Zipp 404 gives you more aerodynamics, for only about 150g. extra. I would choose a 404 instead of a 303. It's easy to save 120g. somewhere else.

  3. Hey, thanks Marlon, appreciate the help.

i would think the 303s would spin up faster and be a little
more comfy the 404s better for calm tts

  5. '303s would spin up faster '

yes because the rim has less weight. force=mass X acceleration

but a lager rim will give you less drag. So when you are changing your velocity, the change in drag is less.

I think the result is, that you can't feel the difference.

And yes, the 303 is more comfy then the 404. But that is a personal choise...

On which type of roads are you cycling, Boba??
