  1. I am considering buying a 2003 Giant OCR 1. I've been mountain biking for a year and I want to get into Duathlons. I need a road bike that is durable (I'm 6'3" 180 lbs) and will do fine in short races.

Any advice/feedback on the OCR 1 would be appreciated. Asking price is $890.

    TIA

  2. It is not a bad ride. I ride an OCR2 (2001). I have logged many, many miles on my bike. The only thing I have changed on it is a set of Rolf rims (Ebay), Sora double, and a stem (adjustable stem very noisy and moves). I have been very happy with it.

  3. The OCRs are good entry level bikes, but as mentioned above, be prepared to swap the stem out. the one that comes on the OCRs is flexy and noisy.

I'm not sure what wheels the OCR 1 comes with but I changed my OCR 3s wheels out because they were a bit heavy
