I'm hallucinating

Obviously it *must* *really* have been a cyclist you saw. As
we keep being reminded by the inhabitant sof uk.tosspot,
motorists would *never* do as you describe ;-)

Must the in-thing. I pulled up, in my car, at a red light on
a roundabout on my way home this evening. In the lane to my
left was a bus which had stopped before I arrived. We sat at
red and then for no apparent reason the bus went, light
still red! To top it another vehicle with ROW was coming and
had to brake!

So I'm assuming the bus driver (A &S Coaches, Leicester) is
a cyclist who had a lapse and forgot she was a highly
trained professional driver in charge of a bus at that
point in time.

In recent weeks I have seen this done by a motorcycle, a
London taxi and a Several of buses. I must get out more, as
I was clearly dreaming at the time.

Are you sure the bus was supposed to stop at the lights ? I
did the same thing earlier this evening - drove my car on
the bus lane (out of hours of operation) as the lights don't
apply to the bus lane. All to do with giving buses better
movement. It's the first time I'd done it the car but twice
before on the bike.

100% certain. There is no bus lane, no filter lane and the
lights operate full time and I use that piece of road daily
so am familiar with it. Buses in Leicester regularly run red
lights but normally it's just after they've turned red. My
theory is that they are racing to the light so would have to
brake hard for the signal throwing the passengers around so
instead carry on. But the one mentioned in my previous post
was stationary and then moved off.
