I'm have difficulty trimming with the DA triple. Can you trim going up and down???? If so how do you accomplish this since I'm not getting this feature. Is the cable too tight etc.????

Is the cable too tight etc.????Yes, trim should work both ways...out with the big lever, in with a single click on the small one. I replaced the cable on mine recently, and have just a little slack in the cable on the inner ring after trim-clicking all the way in/down. My bike doesn't have a micro-adjust barrel or screw, but if yours does, should be easy adjust this tension.
