I have just started over with the Flex points and I found
it very hard to stay at 22 ( I was extremely hungry), and
like you, dipped into the Flex points early and often in my
first week. I think I am going back to the old system where
my range would be 20-25. This way, even if I eat 25 every
day, it would still only be 21 flex points. I will save the
extra 14 for unplanned slip ups and glasses of wine here
    and there.

Keep up the exercise, it keeps me sane!

Hello all, I noticed that when I go over my points and start
using flex points I seemed to think that I blew it and then
just go crazy and stop counting points. Has anyone else
thought this way and if so what did you do to get past that.
I have thought about just giving myself a range of my
    minimum daily points
    (22) plus 5 flex points or just give myself an automatic 5
points everyday for a total of 27. Any ideas will help.
I was talking to the lady who weighs me and I told her
that I felt I had my exercise (running) down as I have
done really well for the last two weeks plus Tue and
Wed of this week so I need to concentrate on my eating.
    Thanks. Kristine Quilici

  9. Menu planning would help a lot. I just don't seem to be able
to do it and stick with it. I am off on Sat so I may give it
a go. Kristine Miss Violette wrote There are several at my
meeting who plan out their point usage as a part of their
menu planning. Some add five points a day others add
according to the weekly plans, like a planned eating out
event. I try and save my flex points for WI day so that DH
and I can eat out and I can pretty much have what I want
without going over total points for the week, Lee

  10. I am just trying to make this work for me and if I feel like
I have blown it everytime I use my flex points then it is
not working. Kristine Fred wrote Sounds like you would like
to go back to the older system. And then save points if you
don't need them from the range.

I understand the FLEX points are intended to be used and
still allow weight loss. Frankly, there is no way that I
could plan meals for different days and exactly come up with
22 or 24 or 26 points, each and every day. I would go NUTS!
So the flex points are indispensible
    - at least, that is this man's opinion.

But then again, I never did adopt the flex points system as
I had achieved lifetime just prior to its introduction.

  11. That may be an idea. My points would be the same 20-25
points. I am trying the flex points one more time this week
and if it doesn't go well (I will know by Sunday) then I
will try that. Or I may just try that anyway and see how it
works Kristine Meg Morganwrote in message Kristine,

  13. First and most importantly you have NOT blown it by using
    Flex Points.

Flex Points are intended to be used when and where needed.
For a birthday dinner, or Christmas, Thanksgiving, (tonight
before the opera! (G)), work luncheon or divided out,
reasonably over the course of a week.

Again, by using them you are NOT blowing it by any means.

Again, I would like to emphasize that _I_ could not have
ever eaten each and every day at 27 points. Or 25 points.
That is too methodical for me. It is too anal, frankly, I
would probably have dropped out of WW if that was the
program when I joined (altho, I have friends who would
love that level of rigidity). I lost weight with a range
of points daily and varied them daily. It worked fine. We
are all different and maybe a set value does not work for
    you either.

But don't stress to the point of throwing in the towel.

    Good luck

  15. A friend of mine divides the 35 flexpoints by 7 and adds
them to her daily target of 20 points for 25 points per day.
In other words, she eats all her flex points every week. I'm
not sure what she does with activity points.

I, on the other hand, tend to dip into my flex points on the
weekends and during the week, when the rest of my life is
more regulated, don't usually use more 3 flex points per
day. I try to have no fewer than 14 flex points remaining on
WI day, but I don't worry about it when I use up all my flex
points in a week. My use of activity points varies.
