I recently found out I had Epididymitis, and the doctor said it probably because of my saddle is was using and the constant impact and riding of my mountain bike. He said it could be many things, Position, type etc. Anybody have any tips to help prevent a future flair up? Thanks

Have a shop set up your saddle position, buy a pair of good cycle shorts, use chamois butt'r and get out of the saddle on bumbs. -
Thanks a bunch. I appreciate any advise. I know I tend to stay in the saddle more often than I should.

ya know, they make rear seat posts with a bit of suspension on them, dunno how reliable they are tho, but it might be worth your while since you admit to staying in the saddle. most of these posts are just an inch of travel, but that may make a difference with your situation, who knows...

Exactly what Genetic said. Have a bike shop put you on a trainer and get the bike set-up for you. Then get yourself a good pair of riding shorts/bib. I ride with bibs, Performance bike has a decent set for @ $50. I have several pairs and love them. There are alot of companies that make really good shorts, it is just what you can afford.

I used to get pain in the taint with my old Bontrager saddle. It would get so bad I would have to get out of the saddle and I would get pain down my legs. I've just changed it over to a Koobi saddle and it has a channel cut out of the centre and now I have no problem. I've only been using it on the trainer so far, but I bet it would help you out as well since its mainly the bones in your [censored] cheeks that support the weight with this seat rather than right in the centre.

get a nice soft seat with a cut out channal, suspention seat post, soft padded shorts, and check your riding position out with a near by shop, hopefully will do the trick
