I'm thinking of buying a used '99 Lemond Buenos Aires for my wife. It appears to be in great condition from the pictures and is a one owner bike. The trouble is that I can't find out any information on the frame specs and can't check it out in person (it's on the East Coast and I'm on the West Coast). It's a 53cm frame. My wife now rides a '98 Trek 1200 that is a 54cm. I've been reading that the Lemonds have long top tubes and I'm concerned that the bike will not fit her correctly. She's about 5'7" with normal proportions, but kinda heavy.....200+ lbs. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

A 99 53cm will have a 54.5 TT. The Lemond seat angle is 3/4 degree shallower, which might cause her to move the seatforward a bit, somewhat negating the longer TT.
