I also own Kreitler rollers, what did you use for a belt? Where did you get the belt material from? How did you attach/seal the ends together?

I have the classic alloy rollers which use 1/4" diameter belt. I think some of the smaller-drummed models may use 3/16".

I ordered part # 59725K251 from www.mcmaster.com

There are different lengths and colors available. I ordered 25' of clear belt. It seems stronger than the original.

I used a soldering iron to melt the ends and join them. It has to be done just right otherwise the weld will break. I had a lot of practice fixing my old belt over and over again because it was cracking everywhere from old age.

If you decide to go this route, I can go into the details of doing the weld. I heard that the new belts from Kreitler break at the weld after some use and they refuse to warranty them. That tells me that they're not doing it right. It also leaves us with less options.
