  1. My fitness that is?

First ride today after 6 week layoff due to skiing injury to shoulder, & I found it quite hard
going, even though it was just a short (15 mile) pootle round the lanes.

If you see a cyclist turning left while indicating with a low hand signal, that.ll be me! Still cant
lift shoulder out horizontal to the side, damn!

    Dislocation?

Did mine on a black run when i was not good enough for black runs about 20 years ago. Strange
situation sitting on a mountain, all pain receptors closed down by Cental Control, feeling high as a
kite womdering why my asrm won't move.....

    It will get better!

Ah, commisserations. I've also been off the bike last week since a heavy fall on my shoulder in a
skiing accident the week before. However I can lift my shoulder, despite it still being quite sore,
and am just about to go out and give the bike a try!

I went out for a 10 mile thrash this afternoon - first time on the race bike since September. It
seems an order of magnitude faster than the tourer, although I did start to flag a bit on the way
back. Might have been the cold, but the brakes had tightened themselves up (!) and were rubbing
quite hard, which may explain the perceived effort needed for the last 3 miles.
