    I just bought a pair. They engage and release really well and are very light. My only concern is
    that they look and feel like they may not last very well with use. Does anyone have any experience?

    It would be helpful if you stated which of Speedplay's pedal models you're talking about. I have
    over 10,000 miles on a pair of X-2's with zero maintenance on the pedals and they're fine - they
    last very well indeed.

    I've got about 5,000 miles on my Speedplay Frogs and have no complaints. They engage positively,
    can't pull out, and I can actually use them in my tennis shoes if necessary.

    I have about 5 years on my frogs. I am on my second set of cleats. One of
    the great advantages is that you can order them with different spindle
    lengths. I am not perfectly symmetrical so I have one spindle .25 inch
    longer than the other.
