As somebody else I think suggested, you need to ask your internist why he said "there is no
blockage." What is the basis for this, what tests have been run, etc. Also I suggest you ask for a
second opinion from a cardiologist.

Thank you very much for your advice. She saw her doctor today and has arranged an appointment
with a cardiologist to get a second opinion. It can't hurt to hear what they have to say. Thanks

Get thee to a cardiologist. Stay with your Mother while she reports her symptoms to the doc as many
patients tend to minimize symptoms because they do not want to appear weak or old. If the
cardiologist knows everything that we do and still overlooks her symptoms, find another doc. Really.
I promise. Now. You have two choices: Watch your mom have a heart attack and hope that she doesn't
die and take care of her in an invalid state until she does, or see a doc.

Heart problems are so easily fixed before damage is done. Much less rosy after the big one occurs.

Thank you for the comments. Don't worry- already arranging an appointment with a cardiologist to get
a second opinion and will definitely consult someone else if this cardiologist can't find problem.
Her "minimizing" the symptoms isn't the problem, as she went to doctor of own accord and wants to
know the answer to the problem, it's getting to the bottom of it is what's taking the time...I agree
that Heart probs are better fixed before an attack occurs if that's the case here. (h. attack
happened to someone I know so prevention definitely better) Well, thanks again for the thoughts...
