Which tires are a true 25mm width?

From my experience, I agree the *new* Avocet Fasgrip 700x25 are *true* 25mm tires. Michelin also
makes fairly true 25mm tires, check out the Michelin Carbon (also known as Axial Carbon).

I dont't know about the MA-2, I can just give you the Information on the tires I use/have used.

A Panaracer Pasela TG 28-622 mounted on two rims with (nominal) inner width of 13.5mm (Ambrosio
Balance, Rigida DP 18), inflated to its Pmax of 7.25bar is 25 and 25.5mm wide, respectively. The
former mounted and inflated the other day. I have used the same model of tire on 17mm (inner
width) rims, where I measured a width of about 26mm. A Conti Gator Ultra Skin (or s.th. like that)
and a Hutchinson Excel Kevlar, both 28-622, measured a width of 28mm on a 17mm rim at their
respective Pmax.

Two that I've used that are true to size are Michelin Axial Sport 700x25 and Continental Gatorskin
700x25. They both measure 25mm wide when mounted. And the Panaracer TServ 700x28 is 25mm wide when
mounted on a Velocity Aerohead rim...

I have the IRC Road Winner II Duro. They say 622 x 28, but they are about 25 mm wide.

IRC Redstorm Classic 700 x 25 measures a true 25mm mounted on Open Pro rims and Sun ME14 rims. Not
the greatest tire going, but very usable and cheap (mail order places seem to be dumping the 700 x
23- no idea what these measure).

On MA2's Michelin Axial_Bi_sport_23 =23mm Continental Top_Touring_28 =25mm

Schwalbe Blizzard Kevlar 25 = 25.1mm on MA2 Continental Ultra Gatorskin 28 = 26.2mm on MA2 Vittoria
Open Corsa CX TT 23 = 24.1 to 24.5mm on Open Pro (similar on MA2)

all measurements taken at widest point

My Schwinn LeTour 27 x 1 1/4 tires were actually 31.75 mm when mounted on Araya 27x1 1/4 w/0 HP
rims. geez, i guess these tires are badly mislabeled !!!

You measured something rubber and found it was precisely
31.75 (1.25 * 2.54 = 31.75) and you thought it was "badly mislabeled"?
