bfd in the DA10 thread mentioned that the hub is noisier. Is this due to the pawls having stronger springs? If so, isn't this "feature" pointless, because the pawls engage no matter how strong or weak the springs are (given that the springs have at least some pressure)?
The weak springs may not spring the pawls as fast, but isn't the time for it to do so irrelevant? I figure that the strong springs only serve to slow down the freeness of the hub, to make more noise (typical of boutique hubs) and to distinguish it from 90% of other hubs. Plus a little snob factor. Am I missing anything here?
