incorporate the 8 good health habits into your life? Thanks to all in advance! Cynthia

fruit and veg:Breakfast: Wheetabix and milk - 3 points apple - .5 points, 1 portion
Lunch: Carrot and corriander soup (large bowl): 0 points, 2 portions Bread and butter: 4 points
Dinner: Low fat saussages - 3 points Low fat oven chips - 3 points steamed carrots - 0 points, 1
portion steamed green veg - 0 points, 1 portion Banana or fruit juice - 1 point, 1 portionTotal points: 14.5 Total fruit and veg: 6 portions
This leaves me plenty of my 22 points for the odd treat, or to save up for a feast at the end of the
week.! Sionce yesterday ended up as a low fruit and veg day, I may pack in a few more to make up for
it, as I have the points to spare.--

Hi Cynthia,
The way I am able to incorporate my fruits and veggies into my day is like this most days: I have
cereal with milk and a banana for breakfast and then I have two cups of salad plus another fruit
usually and apple or lately strawberries and then some sort of veggie for dinner. Some days I have
an apple as a snack during the time when I am first home from work and the time we eat dinner.
Depends on how hungry I am at the moment. I think that works out to about 5 or 6 servings a day.
Hope I was able to help you even just a little.Carol

apple or rhubarb crumble 🙂 I do eat some dried fruit. Peaches, pears, apricots particularly, but it
can be weeks at a time between buying a packet. I also love dates. I buy a box of medjool dates at
the weekend regularly 😉 I get through them pretty quickly too so maybe thats my main fruit source.I eat lots of veg. Brocoli, cauliflower, cabbage, squash, (sweet potato and potatoes don't really
count). I also add corn, beans, and peppers to lots of meals, and I eat loads of mushrooms. This stuff is especially good 'cos you can eat loads either cooked or fresh in some cases and it's
very few points.Ray

My breakfasts consist of either ceral with a serving of raisons. (In the summer its fresh berries)
or a tofu scramble with mushrooms & peppers. For lunch I try to have a bunch of celery and/or baby carrot with my meal. My meal sometimes
also includes veggies. If I am really hungry I'll have some No-sugar added applesauce for
dessert or jello with fruit (1 point each). Sometimes I have a salad with some chicken and low
fat cesear dressing. For dinner we rotate between asparagas, brocolli and cauliflower with meat or chicken.
Not really hard to fit fruits and veggies into your daily menus.

I love most fruits and vegetables, If for some reason I find it difficult to
get them in tomato juice is a wonderful way to do it 1/2 cup is a f/v, and
if you need a quick one, put 12 oz of tomato or V-8 juice in a sauce pan,
put in a can of green beans and some mushrooms, if fresh cook till tender,
if canned put in with juice and heat thoroughly and enjoy, this will just
about equal the min. or the day, good luck, Lee
