please tell me pants are trousers - not pants? *grin* well - us v. uk - very different things!

I can't remember if there is an official word to describe it in the US, but I think it's sneaking up
on someone and pulling their pants down in public. krys is that right?

I can tell you I have emptied my closets, I didn't know I had so many
clothes, in so many sizes. I just took all the business/dressy things to my
mothers so her friend could sell them for me. I am also convinced that I
will not ever have that many clothes again. It is such a joy to get dressed
and stay in one room, not run from room to room trying to find something,

Great, Mary! A bargain and a boost all at once!

New pants/trousers for me, too! I went shopping for new jeans today. My current brand, Lee, is
getting baggy in the size 16s, so I tried on the 14s. A bit snug, but doable, but the legs were very
baggy - I prefer straight leg jeans. So, I tried a different brand, Bill Blass, I think. Well, the
14s fit, but they were kind of roomy. I went back, very much wishing I'd remembered to wear slip-on
shoes instead of my lace-up boots, and got a 12. Woo hoo! Amazing! The 12s fit! Snug, but not
uncomfortable!

Now, I know that the difference was the mfgr., and not magic, but boy! Does it feel fabulous to wear
a size 12! The saleslady tried to talk me into capris, but I figure by the time it's warm enough for
those, I'll be a different size. I'll just have to take my chances what's available, and next year,
I'll hit the racks right when the new styles come in!

Ooh good for you. Buying clothes during the losing stage is equal parts fabulous and aggravating.
All that trying on and not knowing which sizes to start with. But oh so satisfying to find yourself
in a size or two smaller than the last time. Great NSV, Wendy.
