What is the difference between a Cyclocross frame and components and a road bike or hybrid? I want to buy a bike with disk brakes, I have seen a Giant OCR Touring and a Trek Cyclocross and have been told they have different geometry but can't find any info.

I think that the main difference between the cross frame and a touring frame is that a cross frame has a smaller BB drop than a touring bike meaning the cross frame has a higher BB than a touring bike. Touring frames should have a lot of BB drop (lower BB to the ground) because they are built to carry loads so a lower BB makes them more stable. A cross frame needs a little bit more clearance because of ueven ground that they are designed for. Hope this helps but if you look at the specs you will find other differences too.
