  1. Hi folks,

Well, being the strange individual that I am, I have just had my tongue pierced. For the next few
days I can expect to be on a fairly liquid diet - think soup, sorbet, yoghurt, that kinds of thing.

So, what I'm looking for is some ideas for liquid mushy foods of decent nutritional value - ways to
make up my poitns properly - otherwise I'll be eating rubbish all week, finding it hard to eat all
my points.........woman cannot live on ice-cream alone - honest! *grin*

    help anyone?

fruit in blender and drink it, Lee, thinking, no, knowing, you have more
    guts than I do

  3. Well if you have a blender you can grind up most anything 🙂. That is going to be sore I bet. Yogurt
is healthy. Heck, you can get the whole milk kind and have tons of points. I bet you will figure out
how to eat pretty well, pretty soon. My grandson didn't lose any weight. Actually the first few days
he just ate everything he used to eat, but used a knife and fork and placed the bites of food on his
molars on either side, in little pieces. Took forever to get through a meal.

  4. blended fruit - good start - and I guess I could add yoghurt to that and
make smoothies and stuff too 🙂

as for the guts thing - it really didn't hurt that much, and only that very briefly. though it's a
tad uncomfortable now, it's already getting better
🙂 It was a very good excuse to have to have decent chocolate ice-cream for
    dinner though! *grin*

Eat Really Hard, Difficult Foods: whole raw carrots, crusty bread, stuff like that! You'll have to
eat rreeeaaalllyyy ssslllooowwwlllyyy, and will feel full/fed up in no time! ;P

No, joking apart, the blender is your friend! Grind everything to a soup and suck it through a fat
straw! Baby-Food it! Even Pizza... 😉

To stay on pints and healthy, lots of different low or no point soups, well blended, and yoghurt is
good too. For protein, mince is a good one that will slide down without trouble. And for times of
    pain, suck and ice cube...

  12. Well heck Bird, even us 45 yr. old's can be grandmas! I first became a grandma just 2 months before
my 45th birthday ... second grandchild came 2 weeks ago ... my 47th birthday is just around the
corner. I gotta say, 45 was the perfect age
    - for me anyway. I just didn't know it until it happened. <G>

  15. Hi folks,

and thanks for all the tips and suggestions. So far, it's been sorbet, ice-cream. Lots of cold
drinks. Coffee. Had a yoghurt/plum/apple smoothie for breakfast, and am about to have WW chicken
soup for lunch. It's amazing how much harder it is to intake your points when it has to be liquid!
Methinks a good pint of english ale later will help *grin*

Off shopping later to pick up more soups - some fresh ones. It's going to be nice to buy the higher
points ones for a change! Just as long as they're not lumpy........ Anyone know the New Covent

I love the covent garden range. They do some good chicken recipes sometimes (somthing like chicken
    and pumkin with chili??)

Good luck with the piercing. I lost a piercing recently, after 18 months being mostly trouble free,
It decided to hurt like hell. I think I must have knocked it or it disagreed with shampoo or
    something, or rejection. Very disappointing.

FYI - Most of the kids yoghurts are made with wholemilk.

Well heck Bird, even us 45 yr. old's can be grandmas! I first became a grandma just 2 months
before my 45th birthday ... second grandchild came 2 weeks ago ... my 47th birthday is just around
the corner. I gotta say, 45 was the perfect age
    - for me anyway. I just didn't know it until it happened. <G>

At 47, sometimes I FEEL like a grandma, but as my one and only son is only 9, that won't happen for
a while! I was married for almost 13 years by the time he was born, too. Long live Clomid! 😉

When I was teaching regularly, the kids sometimes asked how old I was: I feel 97 on Monday mornings,
I'd reply. By Friday afternoon, Methuselah looks like a great grandson! If they didn't know who
Methuselah was, I'd make them look him up! Krool Teechur, me.

OK. I swear I won't tell you what I told my daughter when she pierced her tongue - (I hope it turns
black and falls off) - but I won't tell you that - honest...LOL Soup is good, and yogurt, and pureed
fruit. I didn't notice my daughter changing her diet in any way when she got hers done - she just
chewed a lot slower and was careful.

    Hi folks,

and thanks for all the tips and suggestions.

It's going to be nice to buy the
higher points ones for a change! Just as long as they're not lumpy........ Anyone know the New
Covent Garden range? I plan on parsnip and cream, or something like that 🙂 Think I'll pick up
some oatmeal too. And some ricotta. Any excuse to shop 🙂

Those soups are really yummy! I have their first cook book - the green one. I want the red one, too.
Must go and point some of the recipes!
