  1. Hi to everyone!

I would like some clarification of what WW uses on their daily points range guide.

If a person has a points range of 18 to 23 points per day. Would the person still lose weight at 23
points per day or would they basically maintain their weight? If that isn't the case what range of
points would the person use to maintain their weight?

    Thanks!

  2. weight, target weight, current weight) I'd still say there's an excellent chance you'll be fine on
23 pts... the weight loss wont be as rapid, but it should come off fine.

  3. Well, WW has changed their system now and no longer has a daily range but a fixed value with a
starting bank of 35 flex points. The flex points can be added as needed including all at one time,
some each day or none. They have also dropped the minimum or rather raised it. The lowest value is
now 20 points per day, I believe.

But it sounds as if you have asked two questions. If you did fall in the 18-23 point range and were
attempting to still lose weight, you would stick there. Clearly, given the 25 pound range for
weights and the 5 point spread, there would be variations in how much/fast someone would lose. And
it might require tweaking to keep losing.

But for Maintenance, one actually experiments by adding points to the range to try and find a point
value in which you stay fairly constant. Altho, many of us have concluded staying at precisely the
    same weight is near impossible.

And I may not have explained it well so someone else may stop in with a better explanation.

  4. Using the weight range - even at the high end of the range you would expect to have weightloss.
Probably at a much slower pace that eating at the lower end, but still a loss. WW suggests that to
maintain you add 4 points to your range (bringing it to 22-27). If you gain a pound then drop a
point ... if you lose a pound then add a point ... until you find the spot where your weight remains
stable. Maintenance is pretty much a guessing game.

  5. when I used the range system I had to eat every single point or I didn't
lose, I am sure others have answered about the maintenance points, good
    luck, Lee

  6. this isn't the case in Australia.. I am now in my third week and we still get a certain amount of
points per day depending on how much you weigh, the lowest amount is 18 points per day..

  8. Which is why you have to eat all of your flex points to lose weight. Every body is different and
finding the right amount of points each day/week is part of the mystery of the Flex Plan. You need
to eat at the high end while someone else might need to eat at the low end to lose.

Sounds different again from the UK system, where you get a single point value (at 13 stone, mine is
22 points), but can earn a few extra by exercising.
