Likely to have been built in the mid 70's. Roy Thame was manager of the famous Holdsworth
professional team and some excellent bikes were built under his name - ISTR when the Holdsworth
marque was in decline and the team ceased. Was based in Putney.

There's no reason why a 531 frame should not be serviceable.

If the frame is sound and true and the right size I'd go ahead with the project -though I am a fan
of old steel frames, two of my three bikes are 531, I had a third but I sold it.

Yes, I like a nice high gear for the "over the cliff bits"

Oddly enough, the CTC magazine had a Roy Thame frame refurbished in this month's issue. They used
Vaz in London (0208 852 0711), who got reproduction decals and everything. It looks like a brilliant
job for only £60.
