Hmm,
Thought I might start a post so we can proudly display our rigs. Can't seem to attach a photo though.... Any ideas??
Yes the pic is under 100k and it is in jpeg format??

Yeah, I'd like to post a pic, too. I cannot figure it out how to upload a pic. There is a button in the message compose screen with "IMG" on it. When hit, it asks for a "http://" text. That's as far as I can go. Would be good if someone showed me how to. 😕

It lets you browse the file and locate it but when you preview or post, it doesnt include the image!!

The IMG bit allows you to refer to a URL. eg you might have a pic on a web server somewhere or under your free web space with your isp.
There is a browse button that you press to attach an image, but it just won't show it when you preview or post it!!!! -
OK, I worked it out. The pic has to be smaller than 600 x 600. What you have to do is edit the pic down to size. Then attach.
So what do you think of my rig??

Nice bike braso. How much was the paint job?
The seatpost is interesting, i've never seen one like that before with the bend in it. Looks as though there is no setback at the top though to compensate.

[/B]Ah, could start taking tech, but I'll go for first impressions and say it looks yummy. The paintwork is sublime.
-
Ahh, I can't keep this up any longer!!
Alas that is not my bike. I saw the photo on ebay yesterday under some dodgy auction for $2400, clearly a fraudulent one. If I had a lazy 10k lying around, I would certainly get one though.
For what it's worth, here is my actual rig.
Trek 5200 with D/A and Ultegra.

This is a good idea though, why not start a yahoo group this would allow a photo gallery

Whoa! That's hot!
I love it. Did you get TREK stickers, or you avoided paining over the main stickers on the down tube?
I'm gonna try sending a pic of one of my bikes. Let's see. I have reduced the size to 50% (Just below 600X600).

a posting. As well as that, a lot of news servers (such as mine) will strip off any attached files that are
included in a post.Which means that I don't get to see any attachments at all - not even virii. 🙂

All D/A Does not weigh much at all!!How many times do you have to be told? This is a non-binary news group. Attaching anything to a post
is a big no no. It's likely to get you reported to your ISP. It can lead to your account being
canned. Do not do it.--
Regards. Richard. -

Regards. Richard.Boy Richard you sound like a fun kind of guy!!
FYI this is the first I have heard of it being a non binary newsgroup. If you are not to attach images, then why are there facilities to do so on the forum boards???
No need to be so, for the sake of a better word '[censored]' about the whole thing. I think you need to take a few deep breaths, chill out and maybe you will avoid having a stroke dude.
Anyway my $0.02 -

their name. If you'd done any homework at all on Usenet etiquette you'd know that and also know that
newsgroups are presumed to be non-binary by default. Posting binaries to non-binary groups is a
clear breach of any reputable ISP's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and you can lose your account by
doing so. That, if nothing else, should persuade you this is not a trivial matter.--

He/she is reading and posting to a web based forum on cyclingforums.com. The forum is, for better or
worse, gatewayed to this news group. I think it is a bad idea because it leads to these types of
issues, but it happens regardless... "braso" may well not even know or care what Usenet is.BTW, I am posting this to Usenet and find web based forums a huge overhead and only read a few that
have content that is worth putting up with all the advertising for!Quoted message said:

he's using a news reader interface like Outlook Express or a web interface such as he is,
aus.bicycles is nevertheless a newsgroup and Usenet etiquette applies. The "usenet" in "usenet-

distinguishes between its own forums and Usenet. He's got no excuse.[...]

I simply followed a link provided in an earlier post in this thread into the middle of the "forum".

I didn't say it wasn't wrong. I was just saying that it is not *always* annoying. If I am following
a long thread and I've been reading it for a while and know what is going on, it is *sometimes* nice
to have the next response just there when I open the post rather than having to scroll down and find
it. I agree that it is bad, and am not advocating anyone do it. But, if you put smart (if correct)
stuff in your footer you have to expect people to take a shot at it occasionally ;-)[...]
