On the way to Wasdale Head on Saturday afternoon, some poor chap was stood in the road with a shovel
as cars drove through the torrent that appeared to be coming from his house. It looked like the
water had come down a hill and onto the road via his living room.

Not here it isn't, not at the moment anyway. It is mighty warm though. It is more like May out
there than February. If it continues like this there won't be any snow left in Scotland the week
after next. :-(
I saw a picture of the River Kent in Kendal in the Metro today. It has burst its banks through the
centre of town, looked like it was a couple of feet or so above the road.

How is your 'underwater' camera Paul ...... it must be one now as it was on the news this afternoon
that the river banks have burst in Swansea!
Not too wet here on the south coast at the moment ...... a very pleasant 17C with a bit of a
wind blowing.

Have they? Hadn't heard that. I checked the news and there was a flash flood in Pontardawe (up the
Swansea valley) but that was caused by a pool on a hillside overflowing. All I can find says that
the River Tawe is on Flood Watch but not warning.
Luckily I live in a safe location on a hillside.

The difference in the amount of snow on the Cairngorms webcam between Monday and Tuesday amazed me.
I didn't think it would disappear as much as that overnight at that height.

The following page brings a few webcams together which is a good way to see what the weather's doing
before you go.
