  1. At times I feel medicare was setup top be a subsidy to the medical community. It seems to seed
    increased costs so I am paying about the same part of my income for it as before..There is the
    impression it is setup to protect the vendor instead of the patient. A case of the wolf
    protecting the hen house. Vendors seem to know they can push the envelope and a only get a slap
    on the hand if they get called on an issue. So the costs go through the ceiling. Would you expect
    anything else. Guy

    medicare is a "government" organization

    the only thing that government is smart about is on getting reelected

    otoh, the docs *are* smart and they quickly adjusted to the new world (in the USA) of
    medicare business

    keep in mind that when you're diabetic, *any* insurance is better than no insurance

    imo, we'd all be far better off with the money in our pockets, which is the one thing (likely the
    *only* thing) that would solve the problem of our (USA) skyrocketing costs for doc services and meds
