  1. Hi,

Has anyone ridden the Marriotts Way recently? If so, what was its condition, only it does have a
tendency to get churned up in wet weather?

There are early signs of a ridge of HP this coming weekend, which might lead to a brief rain/gale
free interval, so I was contemplating a 50 mile or so circuit, encompassing the section of the
Marriott Way from Reepham to Lenwade (ie, only about 7 miles of it).

Is it easy enough to join the MW anywhere that the old railway crosses a road, or are there
specific points where you have to join? I know there is a car park at Lenwade, so I guess that's
    one end sorted...

BTW - found a ferry from Hunstanton to Skegness - but it's little more than a rowing boat with an
outboard, so not much room for a bike, and it only operates in summer when there's a <3' swell. 😉

Can't comment on the Marriot Way but for a fairly decent weather forecast I use
weather.co.ukweather.co.uk it's proved to be pretty accurate over 7 - 10 days spells and its hour by
hour forcast for the current day is normallt extremely accurate. When I last consulted the site,
Sunday looked to be a good bet for Leeds and after a quick check, Norfolk too!

That's Sunday sorted for me and my boy, the Dales beckon.

Vernon did the Marrotts Way in wet weather and he came back looking as if he'd been doing a
cyclocross event... But it was some time ago.

    Cheers, helen s
