  1. ...for my new ride. Got some Mavic X618s and XT hubs for my light wheels, will start building the
wheels in the next couple of days. Also received a Chris King headset and Fox Vanilla RLC, nice to
see that Fox includes extra springs, something my last few Manitous and Marzocchi haven't included.
Waiting for some Avid brakes, still haven't decided between mechanical or hydraulic, need to buy a
front derailer and shifters, and everything else I'm using from my old bike.

I just have to find a large Turner 5 Spot, hopefully locally.

So far, so good. Go hydraulic on the brakes.

You might wanna give SuperBlow in Aliso a call. I know I've seen some Turners there, but it was
    awhile ago.

Also, check out The Path in Tustin. Actually, this would be my first choice.

Definitely! Don't start penny pinching here, of all places!

  6. Saw a new 2004 5-spots this week in Woods Canyon, Aliso Viejo, CA. The only different between my
2003 and the 2004 was that the rear triangle is painted the same as the color as the bike. Supergo
in Mission Viejo has a number of frames in stock.

Are the 2003s all the same color or are the 2004s? There's a large red 5 Spot at Helen's in
Santa Monica with a silver rear triangle. Since it's the closest I may try to pick it up before
    the weekend.

And a friend of a friend of a friend is getting me some Avid Juicys for $100 ea so I'm going
hydraulic. It's the only part of the bike where I called in some minor favors.

Scared me. I don't care if they're stolen but I do care if they're deadly.

  14. Three colors...red, silver and black. Rear silver triangle will be a 2003 model.

Note: I am 5'10" with a 31 inch inseam, the large was too big for me. I have a medium 5-Spot that
fits much better. SuperGo in Laguna Hills has a couple of 5-spots built up that you test ride
    to see the fit.
