Which, explains cookies and getting my browser to accept them. I've done everything possible. Gone thru all the steps numerous times that the page tells me to, trying to get in... Still can't. Even went as far as to change all my security settings to low. I can faniggle thru the links at the bottom of that page and finally get to the main weightwatchers.com page, but every time I try to sign up as a new memeber, it always redirects me to the cookies page.

Are you running norton internet security or similar? If so try disabling parts of it while you try to get on the site. Set your internet security back to default.
The firewall or antivirus software issue Ray suggested is worth looking into. And make sure you're accessing the site using Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5 or higher, or a later version of Netscape. The WW's Web site doesn't like any other browsers. You also have to be able to see pop-ups. So if you use a popup stopper, disable it while you're on the weightwatchers site. The times I've had trouble with the site, my popup stopper was the problem.
When I've had trouble with the site, I've contacted technical support and received excellent help in a timely manner. You can contact them via the Contact Us link on the left side of the home page. You'll get a popup window with a list of topics. Click on the Technical Support link to submit a form with your question.

I'm getting married in a month, and going to Playa Del Carmen in two months, and I really need to get in shape. One last thought-put www.weightwatchers.com as a Trusted site. Then cookies will always be accepted. What browser are you using?

I know that using Netscape, if I have rejected cookies in the newest version, it remembers that setting and will not link to some url's that require cookies. You have to edit your preferences and then manage cookies and check if you have "don't accept" from that site.

The WW site wants to accept cookies but for some unknown reason her browser is not accepting the WW cookie. Could be her settings or it could be a corrupt cookie. I would delete the WW cookie and try again. The WW site is also not the best. I have yet to be able to go in and edit my profile. It does not like Mozilla or Firebird as a browser. Seems to only like IE but even with IE I have problems accessing things like the profile. Not a good site, IMHO.
IE has zones that you can set security levels for. The general one is the Internet Zone that she needs to set it a medium security and then tell it to accept the WW cookie. Sometimes putting a site into the "trusted zone" helps when all other efforts to get to that site fail. You should not have to do it that way but IE gets fussy at times.

You are right - there is something about the WW site and Netscape. I don't belong but when I go to find meetings, etc, I get a very generic page that discusses accepting cookies but not much other WW stuff at all. There are some vague links and if I press one of those, I get to their real home page. With IE (at work, well, only browser there altho, I do use it at home for some things) the WW home page just shows up. So there is some quirk

From what I understand from the Worldnet help group, IE tends to allow for errors in the webpage design while NS, Mozilla and Firebird refuse to deal with the programming errors on these pages. Web developers need to design their pages correctly for all browsers.

Interesting. I just loaded Mozilla 1.6 yesterday. And just now, I get that "cookie" page with it but got right in with Netscape 7.x. Who knows??????? (G)

I had no problems just now. Moz may or may not be using the same settings as NS 7.
The easiest thing to do with moz is when you get to a site that needs cookies go to Tools>>cookie manager>>allow cookies.
