  1. I just got a new 720 and would like to adjust the odometer setting to the value from my previous
bike computer. Is there a way to do that? The manual only explains how to reset it to 0.

    Thanks, Bengt-Olaf.

There's apparently a way to do it, but it requires the IR interface and a computer, and you have to
first reset the Polar. I started to try it, but it was too much trouble.

Yes, I can reset my Odometer very easily from the Polar Software on my PC.

  4. Thanks for the helpful replies. I figured out how to do this from the SW, actually fairly simple. My
mistake was to try it on the unit itself.

Yes, i just checked it out by the PPP software, it seems that you can set the odometer to a value of
    your choice from there.

I did this from a laptop with an IR port.

Hmm... there is something fishy going on with this. I checked again and my software reported the
value I had set from the software and the HRM still reported the previous setting under File /
Records / Odometer I could restart the PPP software several times and read the new setting from my
HRM ( 221 km ) but when I checked with my HRM it still reported 0 km that I had reset it to manually
before starting these tests. So does my PPP software read another odometer setting or what?

That is also my experience. I can set the ODO setting with the PPP software and this will remain
true that software session. But when I 'log' in to my HRM the next time the PPP software reads the
old ODO setting. Bottom line is I cannot change my ODO setting with the PPP software permanent. Am I
    missing something?

When I checked again today my HRM was showing 0 like yesterday and my PPP software was showing 5
instead of 221 like it did yesterday. 5 is what both showed before I started playing around with it
yesterday. I've now set it to 222 and am anxiuous to see what it will show tomorrow 😉

I also wish I could see a different setting for the two bikes I use.
