ClarkKent Titanium frames. Need opinions!

I have an F-16 hardtail CK mtn bike frame that is a great ride and has been
ridden hard for almost 10 years. It is now my second bike but always a blast
to get on and crank. CK was known for good craftsmanship in both mtn and
road. Ask Alexi Grewal. The owner was not the best and the company failed
due to financial difficulty and poor business practices. Made in Denver, at
2-3 different locations over the years. They made steel also, but are known
for their ti framesets. I will never get rid of mine. I have tried to break
it over the years to justify going full suspension. I finally gave up and
bought a blur, but as I stated I still ride the CK on occasion and am amazed
how fun and fast it is. By the way the frame(frame only) retailed for about
$1600 10 years ago, not that that is a measure of quality, just interesting.

Is this a bike made by Clark Kent, or a rebranded Sandvik Ti frame? If it's the latter then it's
just your average Ti frame. The most notable thing about these frames is that even their US-built
frames are very inexpensive. I rode one for a while and thought the build quality seemed fine, neat
welds, although the bike was too soft for my taste. I think the newer ones have better tubing
options than what I had. Sandvik's Ti bicycle business is now called Titanium Sports. Here are their

These frames, and others like them, are equipped with decals and sold under many brand names.

They have a reputation, especially in the later years for having a fair amount of contamination
(oxygen present when welded).
