Is there an active mountain bike IRC server? The FAQ mentions a channel name (#mtb), but does not
specify any particular server. There used to be one many years back, it was run by Greg "SCHeckler". Many AMB'rs would often drop
in there to chat. I actually met my husband in there. Greg dropped out of the scene (I haven't
spoken to him in a long time) and took his server with him and that pretty much ended it.- CA-G

Well there are many other free IRC servers out there. Why don't we just pick one and revive #mtb ?

We are the first AMB marriage. My husband is "Jimbosan". We were introduced in #AMB chat, then the
ball just kept rolling from there...- CA-G

Not that hard to set up a channel on any irc server/network. The trick is if it doesn't have
chanserv is to get some eggdrops inthere to keep the channel active. Also very easy to do though.Jason

I've actually found a few #mtb channels on randomly selected IRC servers. However, even the ones
that have several dozen users seem to be completely inactive. OTOH, for all I know, "mtb" refers to
something else completely unrelated. -

Greg used to have a bot in the channel that would do that.

If theres interest and if its on a non-chanserv network I have several bots that I could drop in to
keep it active.Jason
