  1. All,

I will be installing an FSA ISIS bb into my Litespeed Ti bike soon. I was wondering if there any gotchas to this ? Outside of torque specs is there anything else ? I've already purchased the FSA isis bb tool but in terms of greasing the bb for install - is there special type of grease considering the frame is ti ?

    Thanks,

    Ian

  2. Since it is a Ti frame, I would recommend using some sort of anti-seize on the threads. Also, it is highly advisable to use a torque wrench.

  3. what chuck p said. anti-seize will prevent galling of the ti threads and is much more water resistent than grease.

my guess is that it'll probably be easier to find at an auto-parts store vs. bike shop.

A handy amount and applicator comes from Finish Line:

Check with local shops. Use as instructed.
I like to use a single layer of Teflon tape in addtion.
Teflon tape is available from your local hardware store.
