Yes - it's the Campag 10-speed chains that are fussy. -
It will work.
They do need to come out with a chain whip for 10speed though. You can use the 9sp whip on the inner
most cog, but it won't fit between any others.--

Re: the whip, I noticed I had to use the inner (largest cog) to get it to work on my new DA 10
speed. Kind of a hassle until I figured it out. Of course, I'm a very non-techie...Dan

cassettes, where the chain thickness isn't critical. When do you need to hold another cassette cog?--

Just use a Stein tool, or one of the equivalents (I think Park has one now too) to grab the
outermost cog. Been using one of these for a couple of years now, my old chainwhips are gathering
dust. Much easier to use, and easier to clean up, etc.-pete
