Same here; just substitute "new bike" for "old bike."

That's not good. I've got 140 miles on the new bike so far this year. Retirement has made it a lot easier to find the time to ride....highly recommended if your serious about training.

Speaking of new bikes, it feels like mine is breaking in now that I'm past 100 miles. The chain has less drag, shifting seems a bit easier, even the seat and ride feels better now. Probably most of it is just me getting comfortable on the different bike, but it does seem to feel better with each ride.

You're right, I have about 150 miles on the new bike and it's beginning to feel better and better each ride. Especially now that I can dial in the right position for road/TT, as well as getting used to the way the bike feels and behaves.

It's been about a month for me. Christmas weather here was horrid. My new (to me) 70's vintage racer arrived almost a month ago, still haven't been able to take it out for a run.

I was able to get my MTB out today, gotta get whatever fix I can. Boy, those trails ride a lot harder when they're frozen...

Aren't studded tires made for MTB?

I won't be able to ride this weekend either... rain and 37 degrees..all weekend 🙁

I'm continuing to resist the urge to go outside and ride... The temp. is not the issue, its the salt, sand, and other [censored] on the roads that keeps me from going out. (Not to mention the ice patches scattered about). BTW, the temp. here in Minnesota right now is a balmy 28 Degrees F. 😄

I was in Feenix wed & thurs ran and rode both days... home now in San Juan Capistrano, Ca. and its like a beautiful fall day. I love the weather here in South Orange county but watch out for angry automobilers!!! Going on 300mi on my new red talon and I believe the ride is even quicker and smoother... I love this bike! Rudy, ever run in the ran ?It will renew the old spirit...

my spelling always gets me...I ment rain. Ever run in the rain? I may be crazy but the worse the weather the better I feel.

And we were complaining how cold it was on our 19-mile ride this morning, because there wasn't any sunshine (must have been about 50 degrees F, but it felt colder at ~1300 ft elevation).

This thread reminds me how lucky we are....

My new Talon only has about 150 miles on it...and no..I haven't taken it in the rain yet cuz I haven't gotten over the newness of it yet.

How do you have your Talon setup? road or TT ??
