  1. is the whole zone 2 training for mitochondiral function and density thing a bit overhyped? i mean, isnt the idea that the more time you spend in zone 2, the more mitochondria youll grow and the better your endurance will be, but what if thats not entirely accurate? what if the relationship between zone 2 training and mitochondrial density is more complex than that? some studies have shown that high intensity interval training can be just as effective, if not more so, than zone 2 training for improving mitochondrial function and density, so why are we still so focused on zone 2? is it just because its easier to do a bunch of zone 2 rides and call it a day, rather than pushing ourselves with some tough intervals? or is there something else going on here that im missing?
