Whilst stumbling in this week's snow round the Ettrick Forest trying to increase my Donald and Marilyn count (still frustratingly short of the 400 target I had set myself for the end of 2003) I came across a sign in the middle of nowhere which announced on one side 'Welcome to Scottish Borders' and on the other 'Welcome to Dumfries and Galloway'. Next to it was a stile which provided a handy seat to sit and eat my lunch - the lunchbox in one county whilst I was eating the contents in another one.
Whilst I was there it occurred to me that there was a potential for a new ticklist - namely British and Irish Local Boundary Openings - which could lead to a rash of BILBO bagging.

Would the col between Bannau Sir Gaer and Fan Brycheiniog count as one? Probably the highest point on the county boundary.
