Sad news on the BBC news today, as reported in "Mountain Days and Bothy Nights", it was burned to the ground previously. Time for another Phoenix act.
Bothy destroyed in fire
A mountain bothy near Braemar has been completely destroyed after two hillwalkers accidentally set it on fire. The men had lit a fire inside the hut on the Mar Lodge Estate and left it unattended.
When they returned it had spread to nearby trees.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Been expecting this for years, I'm afraid:-( Hopefully the SNT will replace it as a goodwill gesture to walkers. But!..........
