  1. Whats the point of even using TrainerRoad if its just going to crash every time you try to start a workout on iOS. I mean, is it really that hard to optimize an app for a platform thats been around for over a decade.

Ive tried everything to get it to work - restarting my phone, deleting and reinstalling the app, even downgrading to an older version - and still nothing. It just freezes on the loading screen and Im stuck staring at a blank screen.

Meanwhile, all the other training apps out there seem to work just fine. So whats the deal with TrainerRoad. Are they just not bothering to update their app anymore.

And dont even get me started on the so-called fixes that people have suggested online. Try resetting your phone or make sure you have the latest version of iOS - yeah, no kidding. Im not a complete idiot.

The real question hear is, why is TrainerRoad so behind the curve when it comes to iOS compatibility. Is it really that hard to hire a competent developer who can get the job done.

I swear, if I have to deal with one more crash, Im just going to switch to Zwift or something. At least they know how to make an app that doesnt fall apart the moment you try to use it.

So, to all you TrainerRoad apologists out there, I ask you - whats the point of even defending an app that clearly doesnt work. Are you just trying to justify the money you wasted on a subscription.

And to the developers at TrainerRoad, I say - get your act together. If you cant even be bothered to fix your app, then maybe you shouldnt be in the business of making apps at all.

  2. Frustration with app crashes is valid, but let's not forget that TrainerRoad is still a powerful tool for cyclists. Yes, iOS optimization could be better, but it's not accurate to say they're not updating their app. They've recently added ERG mode and improved power match, among other things.

As for the crashes, it's possible that specific user settings or hardware configurations could be causing compatibility issues. Have you tried reaching out to their support team for personalized assistance? They're known for their excellent customer service.

And to the developers, keep pushing for improvements, but remember that every app will have its critics. Use the feedback to make TrainerRoad even better for the cycling community.

  3. Frustration with app performance is understandable, but let's consider a few things. TrainerRoad is known for its advanced training plans and analytics, which might require more resources than other apps. Also, it's possible that the issue lies with the user's specific device or configuration, rather than the app itself.

That being said, if the app is consistently crashing, it's a valid concern and should be addressed by the developers. It's also worth noting that no app is perfect, and even popular options like Zwift have their own set of issues.

In the end, it's up to the user to decide whether the benefits of using TrainerRoad outweigh the drawbacks. As for the developers, they should strive to provide a smooth and reliable experience for all users, regardless of platform.

  4. The issue you're experiencing with TrainerRoad on iOS may be due to a compatibility problem. While TrainerRoad does support iOS, there could be specific factors related to your device or software configuration causing the app to crash. It's worth checking the system requirements and ensuring your device meets them. Additionally, it might be helpful to contact TrainerRoad's support team for further assistance.

Comparatively, other training apps may have optimized their software better for iOS, resulting in a smoother user experience. However, without specific details about the apps you're referring to, it's difficult to make a direct comparison.

In summary, while it's frustrating when software doesn't function as expected, it's not uncommon in the world of app development. I would recommend reaching out to TrainerRoad's support team for a resolution.

  5. Frustration with app crashes is valid, but let's not dismiss TrainerRoad altogether. Have you tried contacting their support? They might have insights or solutions you haven't considered. Also, keep in mind that app development is complex and optimizing for various platforms can be challenging. Maybe the issue lies in your specific device or configuration. Before switching to another app, it might be worth exhausting all troubleshooting options.

  6. It's frustrating when any app, including TrainerRoad, doesn't work as expected, especially when you've paid for a subscription. Crashing and freezing can indeed be a deal-breaker, and it's reasonable to consider switching to a more stable platform like Zwift. However, let's not forget that even popular apps can have issues, and it's not necessarily a sign of incompetence or lack of effort on the developer's part.

The cycling community is full of passionate and vocal users who expect the best from their gear, and rightly so. But it's also important to remember that app development is a complex process that can be affected by many factors, including the limitations and quirks of different operating systems.

That being said, if TrainerRoad is consistently crashing on iOS, it's a problem that needs to be addressed. The developers should be transparent about the issues and work to resolve them as quickly as possible. In the meantime, it might be worth reaching out to their support team for troubleshooting tips or workarounds.

Ultimately, the success of any app depends on its ability to meet the needs and expectations of its users. If TrainerRoad can't do that, then it's only natural that users will look elsewhere. But let's also give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they're doing their best to fix the problems and provide a great user experience.

  7. What’s the point of even sticking with TrainerRoad when it’s a total dumpster fire on iOS? Seriously, how many times can you crash before you realize it’s a lost cause? Other apps are out there crushing it while TrainerRoad’s just sitting there, frozen like a deer in headlights. Do they even care about their users? Or are they just cashing in on subscriptions while their app collects dust?

  8. C'mon, you gotta admit TR's got its perks with those training plans. But yeah, if it's crashing non-stop, that's a bummer. Maybe it's just their iOS devs need a tune-up. Other apps sure are zoomin' ahead, guess they gotta step up their game. But hey, no app's flawless, Zwift's got its quirks too. In the end, it's a choice, weigh the pros and cons, y'know?

  9. So, what’s the excuse for TrainerRoad’s app flopping on iOS? Other platforms are crushing it while TR’s stuck in the dark ages. How does a company with a decent reputation let their app become a total trainwreck? Do they think users will just sit back and accept constant crashes? If they're so proud of their training plans, why not put in the effort to fix the app? It's a joke at this point.
