Does MemoryMap run on the Palm platform as well as Pocket PC? The Garmin iQue 3600 is a Palm device
and not overly rugged from what I have read. I don't think it is well suited to the damp of the
    British upland environment.

You might want to contact Darrel Goheen at tvnav.comtvnav.com and see if he will post to your
hotel / tent / whatever as he has a good reputation and keen prices.

US mapping Garmins come with the US rather than European basemap, and while you can buy and load
more detailed local maps, you can't change the basemap. Depends whether that matters to you.

I bought my Garmin basic Etrex in a hunting shop in New England last October, Paid $119 or roughly
£80. They were £149 in UK at the time. Well pleased !
