Just had one of their catalogues drop on the mat, what's their stuff like? Looks a bit cheap to me but I'm not adverse to a bargain if it does the job. Anyone use their shoes/boots? I'm thinking of a pair of walking shoes for the summer but don't want to spend a fortune.

I've found their T shirts and polo shirts good quality. They have quite a few shops in various places, like...uh...Hawkshead for example, so you don't have to buy out of the catalogue without seeing the stuff first.

Hawkshead gear is very nice. Their footwear is fine. As for their clothes, I have a couple of pairs of trousers and would advise anyone intending to purchase that their fit is generous. I would normally buy a regular leg length trousers say 31" inside leg, but I've found that their "short" leg is fine. The regular had to be shortened considerably.

Yes, there's one of their shops in Windsor, I've seen but never entered, just a few miles away, so if I wanted to buy shoes etc I could try first which is the only way with footwear. I just wondered how durable their footwear is for the money. Walking trousers seem worth a look too.
