Excellent. I hope to get a bike this spring. I have several in mind including the Trek 2200. I will be test riding as many as I can in the coming months.

Is this your first bike? Did you test ride others?

  3. No this is not my first bike, but it is my second. I had a Specaized Comp M2 for over 7 years. My wife had a GT Force for over 5 years. We did test ride several other bikes including Bianchi Giro, Specialized Rub (can't remember name), Felt 35 & 75, Giant, and a couple LeMond. The trek obvously won with both my wife and I. We got REALLY good deals on them, and they had the best ride quality of all the bikes we tested, at least in the parking lot test! The longest ride on them so far has been 30 miles, we are hoping to double that this weekend. The components are great and the frames are fantastic, the carbon really tames the ride while the alum keeps it lively (can you do that).......
I'll let you know as time goes by what our thoughts are.
What is the overall judgement on multi material frames?
    Joe
