Can anyone point me to reliable, authoratative sources of information and/or studies involving:
Chromium Glucose Tolerance Factor (GTF) Chromium Picolinate
Thanks
There was a big thread on this on ASDUK a while back.
There were some problems associated with Chromium Picolinate (what I fail to remember) and the
choice was Chromium GTF (this is a product name not a measurement). General concensus is that unless
you have a definate deficiency in Chromium (and there is no reason why you should have) you need not
buy supplements. You are far better off getting all the chromium your body needs (not very much
either) from a healthy diet. I think Chromium is often found in fish and green veggies. As a
diabetic you know to make sure you eat lots of veggies as they rarely impact blood sugar badly and
you can eat loads of them with no ill effects.
There is data to be found on this all the same. I did find some but binned it when I found out about
the two types of product and decided not to waste my hard earned money.
Martin.
