1 cup sugar 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1 cup molasses 1 egg 1 tsp. soda 1 cup hot water Pinch of salt 1 cup flour
Cream sugar, add margarine, add egg, and mix well, add molasses and hot water. Mix soda, salt and flour together, and add to other ingredients. More flour may be added until mixture is the consistency of cake batter. Pour into gem tins and bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Serve hot.
