We can distrust the civil servants but I will distrust others more.
I was young and worked in an industrial plant. The bad items were hidden and slipped through on an
off shift. The big bosses emphasized quality control but would fire a line boss for too much scrap.
So what happens?
A bad or marginal drug could be handled the same way. Great talk but watch the profit line.
I once worked for a boss where I generated test and run out data. when he received the data he would
sort through it and pitch negative data as bad. It was all equally valid.
Any political, social, or corporate system would work if people were honest and not selfish.
Our protection is mainly Lawyers but the bill is very high.

The FDA was generated for a reason. Maybe it does not live up to our expectations. It would be mean
if it did not exist.
