Can anyone explain why a glucose monitor needs any sort of voice recognition? Sounds to me more like "our product didn't pass the clinical trials, so we're going to come up with some vague excuse for the delay while we try to fix the problems."

This could have a tiny 3/4 inch LED display, and it would sell like hotcakes if it really reads the glucose well without a fingerstick.
If these guys are making voice recognition their top priority, we really have to question their common sense, and whether this device is just vaporware.

Well, they may be employing delaying tactics, but there are people who would like a meter with non- visual controls & feedback. bj

Well, they may be employing delaying tactics, but there are people who would like a meter with non- visual controls & feedback.
Sure; but there are lots of people who would like a non-intrusive meter *now*. If they had working meters available, they'd be selling those now, and then making double the money when they brought out voice-controlled meters a year later.
