or is it rec.I have an idioitc political view that I must spew. Will someone (Bill or Henry) please email when this [censored] is over. I know it's a down season for racing (don't any of you do cross?) but some of you folks need to buy a clue before you begin arguing politics. It's scary some of you are allowed to vote...
All you need do is not look at the peace theme jersey thread. I think it's far better than a Winter helmet thread. I do agree that most posters to rbr should not be permitted to vote, Bill C. and myself not included.

Brian, one of my other newsgroups is the Robert Heinlein group. One of his proposals way back when was that public service should be required to vote. He was way ahead of the times in that he didn't specify the type of service. Under his suggestion the military, peace corps, inner city teachers, shelter workers, etc... would qualify because they care enough to work for the common good. I still think that this is a good idea. Bill C

Heinlein was a forward thinker and this is a good idea. I've always been of the opinion that being a politician should be handled like jury duty trying to rule out anyone who _wants_ to be there for agendas other than the immediate.
Socrates had some forward thinking ideas on this topic--Plato's The Republic. "jeffbonny" <[email hidden]> wrote in message "]news:[email hidden]...
