    · Vegans contribute to the deaths of animals by their use of wood and paper products, and roads
and all types of buildings, and by their own diet just as everyone else does. What vegans try to
avoid are products which provide life (and death) for farm animals, but even then they would have
to avoid the following in order to be successful:

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ The meat industry provides life for the
animals that it slaughters, and the animals live and die in it as they do in any other habitat. They
also depend on it for their lives like the animals in any other habitat. If people consume animal
products from animals they think are raised in decent ways, they will be promoting life for more
such animals in the future. From the life and death of a thousand pound grass raised steer and
whatever he happens to kill during his life, people get over 500 pounds of human consumable meat.
From a grass raised dairy cow people get thousands of servings of dairy products. Due to the
influence of farm machinery, and *icides, and in the case of rice the flooding and draining of
fields, one serving of soy or rice based product is likely to involve more animal deaths than
hundreds of servings derived from grass raised cattle. Grass raised cattle products contribute to
less wildlife deaths, better wildlife habitat, and decent lives for cattle. ·

No, they just shouldn't sanctimoniously try to claim their diet does any good at all, killer.

No. But people who care about human influence on animals should keep this part in mind:

From the life and death of a thousand pound grass raised steer and whatever he happens to kill
during his life, people get over 500 pounds of human consumable meat. From a grass raised dairy

It depends on how "good" you want to be, and what you want to be good at.

want to be good at all: he does not eat grass fed beef
    - he has admitted it in other newsgroups - nor does he choose *any* of the meat he eats based on
either the quality of life of the animal eaten, or the collateral animal deaths caused by the
production of the grain to feed the animals.

    insincerely condemns.

What the Gonad is trying to do is assure you that you should not consider any alternative to
veg*nism, because he is a very dedicated "ARA". He pretends very poorly to be an opponent, but
he clearly does not want people to consider alternatives to veg*nism that would contribute to
the farming of animals, and he has various methods of trying to persuade veg*ns not to consider
    any alternatives.

Regardless of the interests of veg*ns/"ARAs", some types of meat involve less deaths than some
types of veggies. Rick Etter quite likely contributes to less animal deaths than the majority of
veg*ns in these ngs....including the Gonad and Falafel.

No one in his right mind will give a moment's

rationalization that it's okay to eat meat because the meat industry "provides life" to the animals.
